Praschhof is a family farm. It is our heartfelt desire to transfer this familiar feeling to our guests and to create a place of well-being for you. Our whole family is dedicated to welcoming and pampering our guests, so that you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest.

The farmers Hans and Marion are always pleased to provide interesting information about our two- and four-legged companions. For all questions of mechanical nature as well as for tractor rides, please ask farmer Hans. Farmer Marion’s passion is homoeopathy, and she is lovingly dedicated to all our animals.

Junior farmers Maria (horses pro) and Thomas (football pro) form part of our family team. Both of them care for our mini farm and spoil our cows, calves, pigs, pot-bellied pigs, ponies, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mini dwarf goats, and chicken with cuddles and caresses.

Grandpa Hans knows not only the best places for mushrooms, but also the most beautiful motorcycle tours. What is more, he is the expert when it comes to our homemade nut and stone pine schnapps.

Our farm’s origins go back to the Slavic settlement in 700 AD. Since 1720 it has always belonged to the same family, therefore it is allowed to bear the title Erbhof (ancestral estate). It is a matter of course for us that we follow an environmentally sound and sustainable approach in the cultivation of our land and the handling of our animals.

For us, to practise sustainable farming means to think in natural cycles and across generations!

The Salzburg region of Lungau lends itself to such a way of living and is – by nature – a guarantee for an authentic holiday experience: with mountains wherever you look, more than 60 fantastic mountain lakes, with all the traditions practised by the locals living close to nature and knowing their roots.
